Who am I, and what is this?

Hi everyone, I'm Riven! I'm a new writer living along the American west coast.

The primary goal of this site is to share my (fetish/kink/-oriented) stories / erotic fiction with anyone who might enjoy them.

I have found that many stories online are of sub-par quality, written by authors whose focus is not on their technique nor plot, but are instead seemingly consumed entirely by the sexual themes. For me, these stories end up being unbelievable, and impossible to immerse in. While I'm sure there are certainly still people who enjoy that type of fiction, I am not one of those people, and do not plan for my stories to be of that nature. I hope to find readers that are of a similar mindset, and provide stories that they may find enjoyable.

Thus, I hope to write and share stories that are written with some thought: whether it be better technique, a good plot, an interesting premise/idea, relatable characters, or ideally, a combination of all the above.

Obviously, I am a very new writer, and thus, these are very ambitious goals. I expect it will take me a long time to achieve these goals, if ever. So please, I do wish for your feedback and critique! They mean a lot to me and will help me write more and better.

While this site is mostly dedicated to fiction, I may from time to time also post my thoughts on various fetish-related topics (there are a few example posts linked below).

I will also be including fiction from other sources that I in particular enjoyed, and I think others will enjoy as well. Over time, the idea is that this will become a mini "archive" of the stories I've read over the years. I'm working on figuring out a way to separate what I write vs what I've read, and make sure I include the appropriate links to the original content creators!

My end-goal is to create an open platform where like-minded individuals can join me in having interesting conversations that can perhaps transcend sexual kinks. I will be making an effort to reply to all forms of feedback and keep an honest and open platform on my goals as a writer and the goals for this site.

What do I enjoy?

To preface this, my thoughts and views have continued to change and evolve as I grow older, and I believe they will continue to change. Thus, some stuff I write here may become outdated, and thus only reflect what I enjoyed at the time of writing.

On the 'fetish' front - I found out at a relatively young age that restraints were abnormally intriguing to me. Both being restrained, and restraining others. This led me to explore the BDSM world, and I've found various things I enjoyed in particular, which I'll outline more below.

I have only recently (~ 2020-2021) begun exploring the ABDL side of my interests. It was the relations to 'bondage' in the AB world that led me to first explore these themes. However, I now absolutely love wearing footed sleepers and I'm beginning to learn that wearing and wetting diapers can be a fun experience! Although for me, ABDL isn't primarily sexual, for example I enjoy being cared for and also very much enjoy caring for others.

This is just a high level summary, and in reality, this is far more nuanced than I can reasonably fit onto this page.

What do I plan to write?

I'll certainly have various stories covering my personal interests, which is widespread. Although I'm not a fast nor consistent writer though, so we'll have to wait and see how many stories develop :)

Not all of my stories will be fetish themed. In fact, my first story, Lizzie, is not sexual in nature whatsoever. Yet it does tease on 'ideas' I find interesting like restraints.

I have collected several story ideas, but I am not a fast writer, and it's certainly not a full time job. You'll see from my stories that I tend to NOT only focus on their "fetish" content, even when they are of that nature. I prefer genuinely writing good stories, with the fetish elements acting as a "garnish" so-to-speak.

Thus, you'll likely find the pacing in my stories will be on the slower end compared to most kink-oriented fiction on the web, and they'll spend more time focused on characterization and plot. I may write some "fiction-to-jerk-off-to" in the future, but it'll all depend on how I feel.

I am open to many topics, and if you have particular ideas, please do suggest them to me! But there are some that I will NOT write, and will NOT condone:

A Note on Paedophilia

A obvious HARD line of mine is paedophilia. It is something I will NEVER touch and am strictly against. I'll put it out here bluntly that if you are someone who's in paedophilia, please leave. These are not things I condone, and don't wish to have you in my community.

I do understand how it may seem like a "blurry" line when it comes to ABDL related stories, especially those have a younger MC. Like Lizzie, these stories will NEVER be sexual in nature, and they aren't intended to be.

It is important to draw a distinction here that sex does happen. I am not trying to be some over-religious person with some deluded belief that children do not explore sexual topics. Children, and especially young adults, masturbate, they watch porn, and they have sex. It's normal to be curious about one's body. My stories may in the future touch on this, but they likely will not. This is however, VERY DIFFERENT from seeing children as someone to interface with on a sexual level as an adult. And the latter is something I will NOT condone.

ABDL sometimes gets a bad reputation in the public eye as being seen as the same / similar as paedophilia. But they are VERY DIFFERENT, just not explained well.

While 'littles' in the AB world do 'regress' to a younger age and see themselves as babies, and this can be in a sexual context. It does NOT mean they want to do these types of things WITH children, or that they see children in a sexual context. At the end of the day, they are adults who are simply role-playing a person of a younger age, and enjoy the freedoms that come with being treated like a baby (whether it be the warm care of a mother/father, the freedoms, or simply wearing diapers). From my limited knowledge in the space, for many, regression is not even sexual - but instead a coping mechanism / escape. It has NOTHING to do with wanting anything sexual in nature with babies / children, and thus not at all related to paedophilia.

I have no problem with readers projecting themselves (allowing themselves to "mentally regress" so to speak) and imagine themselves in similar situations. I think that is natural for readers to immerse themselves in the stories by imagining themselves as the main characters, and this is not paedophilic.

I do believe there are certain 'bad apples' in the space - they exist in every space - and we NEED to be strict and weed those people out. But I believe that properly educating everyone is the best approach to help people better understand ABDL.

Why do I write?

Honestly, I just enjoy writing. As someone with no artistic nor musical skill, my form of expression has always been through writing. I have a history of keeping journals and writing little random (non-fetish) stories.

I genuinely want to improve my writing skills, and erotic fiction + online fiction seems like a genre with a 'low enough bar' where my novice writing technique is not glaringly inadequate in comparison (like it would be in other genres).

I've also written many incomplete stories in the past due to my own interests, but only this year (2022) have I decided to start sharing. I was inspired to share because of the feedback I got sharing another story with an IRL friend. The idea that someone actually enjoyed something I wrote, despite it being cringe-worthy to look back at, made us both laugh and have many amazing conversations. The comments and feedback are what really drive me to keep going, so I cherish each and every single one of your comments!
